PARTNERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
*All partners, regardless of past performance, start at “Partner Level” in 2025 and must qualify for higher levels.
- My partnership may not be renewed in 2026 if my account does not refer at least £5,000 for the full year (or a prorated amount from my 2025 signing date) but I will not be charged if I do not reach this minimum.
- If my account is not tagged to a client before an appointment, I may not be granted a commission.
- An individual sale’s commission percentage will be lowered if a Bluelight card holder/Second Bag discount is applied, or discount is granted over 5%.
- The benefit package can change at any time at the discretion of Club Champion with written notice.
REVENUE SHARE
QUALIFYING REFERRALS – Referral commissions are only granted for referrals that come after partnership signing. A record of referral must exist for payment to be granted. No referral payment will be extended for an existing customer of Club Champion that predates the original partnership. Referrals can be made in three ways:
- Partner sets up the appointment for the client using the portal.
- Partner shares name of referred client before an appointment takes place.
- Client directly references the name of the partner as the referral source when booking or at fitting.
LIFETIME COMMISSIONS – Commissions are paid for the lifetime of every qualifying referral for the life of partnership. Payments encompass the entirety of qualifying sales: shaft, head, grip, PUREing, customization, repairs and fitting fees. Commission percentages are based on level of partner and the amount of discount applied. All commission payments are made monthly to the partner after the purchased product is built and shipped in full.
BLUELIGHT CARD HOLDER / SECOND BAG DISCOUNTING – Club Champion will provide a 5% commission on Bluelight card holder/Second Bag discounted sales of 10%. Club Champion will not provide any referral payment for any non Bluelight card or repeat discount granted to a customer over 5%.
BLUELIGHT CARD HOLDER — Any order with a Bluelight discount of 5-10% results in a maximum referral payment of 5%. Over 10% results in no payment. Under 5% results in normal payment.
SECOND BAG — Any order with a Second Set discount of 5-10% results in a maximum referral payment of 5%. Over 10% results in no payment. Under 5% results in normal payment.
OEM ORDERS — Any OEM or direct from manufacturer order will result in no commission payout, however, the order will still count towards a partner's yearend referral total and partner levels.
MISSED-PAYMENT WINDOW – Partners can qualify to request commission payments if they feel a qualifying referral has been missed. All requests are subject to review and proof of referral must be given by the partner. Commission payments will not be considered without written proof of referral.
PERSONAL BENEFITS
COMPLIMENTARY PERSONAL FITTINGS – Amount of access determined by space availability, store manager discretion, and level. Benefit is only applicable for partners and select golf staff.
TAX TREATMENT FOR COMMISSION INCOME
In line with HMRC guidance on non-PAYE and casual income, it is the partner responsibility to declare any income received from Golf Principles/Club Champion Scotland in accordance with their personal tax circumstances. For further clarity, here is HMRC’s online guidance: https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/guidance/check-non-paye-income/start/how-did-you-receive-additional-income
To be noted:
- Individuals may earn up to £1,000 per tax year in casual income without the need to declare this to HMRC under the Trading Allowance rules.
- It is the partner obligation to assess whether the commission income received from Golf Principles/Club Champion Scotland exceeds this allowance or otherwise requires reporting to HMRC under Self-Assessment rules.
- The Company does not assess the partner wider income position and therefore cannot determine whether tax is due on payments made.
In order to process commission payments, we require the partner to confirm one of the following options by providing the relevant info in the submission form and agreeing to this declaration:
- I will issue a VAT invoice to Golf Principles Ltd / Club Champion Scotland for the commission. I am VAT-registered and will account for this income accordingly.
- I will issue a non-VAT invoice to Golf Principles Ltd / Club Champion Scotland. I am not VAT-registered and will include this income in my self-assessment tax return, if applicable.
- I am treating this as casual income. I confirm that my total casual income for the tax year (including this commission) is within the £1,000 trading allowance. I understand it is my responsibility to monitor this threshold and self-assess if it is exceeded.
On a monthly basis, if a payment is due, partners will be asked either to provide an invoice or confirm that the payment will be considered casual income
